What you are experiencing with Adobe Reader is due to software incompatibility or corruption.

The solution is very simple, as the Adobe Reader is of older variant, it should be removed and in place latest version is to be installed.

Click start--control panel--programs--Adobe Reader--Uninstall, and remove the program.

Log into www.adobe.com, search for latest Reader, click the download link and download , install when finished.

    The problem will be solved.

Run Detect And Repair while no other applications are running.
    1. Quit all applications and restart Windows.
    2. Choose Start > Control Panel, and double click Add Or Remove Programs.
    3. Select Adobe Reader and click Change.
    4. When prompted, confirm that you want to repair Reader.
    5. After the repair is complete, restart your computer.
