it seems that your CMOS/BIOS/RTC battery in the motherboard has died. its not much of a big problem. all you need to do is just replace the battery. it is cheap and mostly available in computer hardware stores

    Hi,
This happened generally because yours pc's cmos battery is dead.I recommended you to change your cmos battery.
To change the cmos battery you have to open up the cpu,in the motherboard you find a cmos battery slot with a tablet size battery. You have to remove it and place a new battery.

    hello my friend,

i cant get a clear view on the problem that you are facing now.the date and time changing regularly,in such case there are many things to check on.

1)check the time zone if you not set that right it may change regularly,it can be changed like this way click on the time and go for settings and change the time zone as per your country since i am in india i am using GMT 5:30

2)next we have to check on registry edit.for that press win key+R or go for run and type registry.exe then you will get a dialog box dont change any thing it the heart of the system to work on with that particular operating system.if any thing goes wrong you have to change the operating system.now go in the system then search for time and date then go on to the right side collum and right click the mouse and go for new and name as registry.let all be the same.check if it has hexadecimal in a drop down box you can find that easily.

thats it these are the places where the system works on with date and time if you have checked these things right you computer will work perfect regardind date and time.........

    good luck friend.

there can be an alternate solution ..
You should download a digital clock software/application for your pc which would tell you the exact date and time and you need not to check your pc for that...

I think it is not software problem. It may be:
    1. May be there is no battery in Motherboard.
    2. Ckeck CMOS jumper.

    Solution:
    1. Change battery.
    2. Clear CMOS.
    3. Set CMOS jumper.

this had happened to me also.
You will have to change a small small battery in your motherboard which is responsible to run the clock when the computer is switched off. It looks like the one in your wrist watch.

If you have already changed the complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) battery on the computer and still the date and time changes I would suggest that you install the updated version of chipset drivers by contacting the motherboard manufacturer and also update the system BIOS (Basic Input Output System).

This may be due to WEAK CMOS Battery, so it would not be able to supply for clock ticking after system is shutdown.

    Hello Dear Friend ...

Most of Us get this kind of problems

For that go to the " TIME " at the Below Right bottom corner

    Right click it

There you need to click on the " adjust Time "

Click on the " Internet Zone "

So there you will need to select the time.windows.com

    That is it

    Click APPLY

    VERY GOOD LUCK

May be your basic input output system battery is dead. Just replace the battery, if the problem repeats again , it may be due to any virus. Then correct the system date and time, make sure that u have latest virus definitions, run the full system scan in safe mode, your problem will be solved.

To check if that small battery is running low, do the
    following:

    1. Run a MS-DOS prompt (Start > Programs > MS-DOS prompt)
    2. At the DOS prompt, type time, then press Enter.
    3. Compare this time with the time displayed on the Systray (the clock on the bottom right, the Windows clock).
    4. Type exit and press Enter to quit the DOS box.

If there is a difference between both values, the battery should be replaced. Please refer to your motherboard's manual or manufacturer.

    Dear friend,

If Date and Time changes after every startup, then it means that CMOS Battery of your Motherboard is too old now.

    It urgently needs replacement.

Actually, CMOS Battery is responsible for Date and Time Settings in Laptop and Desktop both.

Re: Date and time changes every time I start my PC

There would be a two major reasons for change system date and time after every restart
1.filure/discharge of CMOS battery on the mother-(if so plz replace with new battery)
2.Any malfunctioned with ur installed os.(if so re-install the os).
    T
he first thing to check when the time is not shown properly is the battery and check BIOS.it is possible that your clock battery may be dead and it loses the time every time you shut down your computer.the tip i can give is donot handle these batteries with your hand because the sweat whic contain salts may shorten the life of batteries.

Re: Date and time changes every time I start my PC

Every PC has a BIOS which provides primary instructions to the PC about hardware details and date time before Operating System takes over. This BIOS and system clock needs uninterrupted power to keep updated date time required for the system to effectively run the system.

This uninterrupted power is supplied by a small tablet battery installed on the motherboard, which is rechargeable and it provides power once the system is shut down and power is disconnected from the source.

Your motherboard battery is damaged and not providing the power backup hence the date time problem.

    Change the battery soon.

there use to be a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) battery in your motherboard

the CMOS Battery supplies power to the system board to keep the time and the BIOS settings

    so,
the CMOS battery is now dead replace it with a new one
