Re: Windows 7 system fails to launch any program from All Program

When the Windows 7 Start menu not working, you can first try the WINDOWS Symbol key to open the start menu. You can do this by clicking CTRL + ESC at the same time to bring it.

If the WINDOWS Symbol key does not work either, you’d better restart your Windows 7 computer in as an administrator and then run the SFC/SCANNOW command immediately. It is likely that some system files go missing without your knowledge due to some unknown reasons. Once the system cannot locate the required files to bring in the Start menu, you will soon suffer from a Windows 7 Start menu not working issue. The System File Checker (SFC) will completely scan the whole PC for any missing, corrupted, broken system files and replace them with fresh new ones easily. Just go to Start, type “sfc/scannow” in Search box and press Enter & follow the on-screen steps to continue.

After running the SFC command and fixing all errors existing in Windows system files, run your antivirus antispyware program to thoroughly scan the whole PC and remove all PC threats from the computer. No matter you are running an old or new computer, no matter it is used for work or study, it is inevitable that some viruses will get onto the PC secretly and perform various malicious purposes on the PC. Once finding the computer running very slow, popping up with many unknown errors like 0Xc004f074 Windows 7 error. displaying constantly ads windows, rebooting itself randomly or getting into blue screen frequently, or blue error screens, etc, do immediately scan the PC with a powerful antivirus programs. All of these are the common symptoms of a virus infection. If they are not deleted timely, it may cause more serious errors to the PC by attacking & removing system files or destroying some other PC components, stopping your Windows 7 Start menu from working properly.

Fourthly, detect and repair Windows registry errors. Playing as the most important component of Windows-based operating system, the registry is the favorite target of malware programs and spyware. Also, what usually happens is that the frequent installation and incomplete uninstallation of the programs on the computer will corrupt the registry and therefore brings you errors. If you install a program and uninstall it improperly, the program leaves junks in your computer. As time goes, the computer accumulates these junks and has to spend more time find the required files when you start up the PC or launch a certain program, making the computer run extremely slow. Besides, some registry entries will be mistakenly removed as you uninstall a program or as the computer gets infected. If the Windows 7 computer cannot locate the needed entries to display the Start menu, you will soon suffer from a Windows 7 Start menu not working problem. So, it is quite important that you should regularly scan the whole PC and repair all errors inside with a registry clean tool.
