I bought the Compaq CQ56-109WM and when I first tried the preinstalled software for the webcam I did in fact get a picture and sound. It came with an integrated webcam and mic. I then sold the laptop and reformatted the hard drive using the built in setup by pressing F11 at startup. Now the webcam does not work? I have updated and installed the correct most up to date driver and yet it still does not work. Does anyone know what the deal may be? Thanks
WHY IS IT THAT MY BLUETOOTH DEVICE DISABLE IMMEDIATELY I UPGRADED MY WINDOW 7-STARTER TO WINDOW 7 ULTIMATE AND SINCE THEN HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IT BACK

Ok i have a compaq presario CQ56 it has programs for a webcam, and i THINK there is a intergrated webcam on the top, or at least thats what it looks like. It looked through all the manueuls and did an HP web search, no info, is it standard for this brand to have an intergrated webcam for the cyberlink youcam?
i just got robed i bought a HP presario CQ56-109WM from walmart they claimit is eqipted with a mic.and a web cam it even shows one in the instruction manual why would a company as big as HP lie about something like that a multy billion $ company ccheat pepole out of a $20.00 part michael cooper@att.net
i need to know what modem i need to get dial up on the compaq presariocq56
Every dial up modem with lan and usb will be compatible with compaq notebook
If you want to use dial up modem to connect internet just make sure to disable connection manager first by right click on system tray if your notebook is installed with connection manager application
If your notebook is installed with windows xp make sure to set dial up connection via control panel-network and internet connection
1. Go to Start-Connect to-All Network Connections-New Connection Wizard.
2. Proceed and choose Set Up My Connection Manually.
3. Connect using a Dialup Modem.
4. Choose the modem and proceed using your Login and Password
If your notebook is installed with windows vista here is how to set it up
1. Click Start and choose Connect To – From the Windows Vista Start menu, click “Connect To”
2. Click the Option to “Setup a Connection” and press “Next”
3. Choose “Setup a Dial-Up Connection” and press “Next” You will then enter your ISP information such as your Username and Password and Access Number
4. When you have entered this information press “Connect” and your computer will begin dialing
5. Once you are Successfully connected, you can press the “Close” button and your new Dialup Connection should be Saved in your “Network Connections” for you to use

i just got this computer & it said tht it did have one, but everything ive tried doesnt work, & every website ive checked for answers has said yes & no, im guessing no…if u go to a website that you can use the webcam on & press record it picks up sound but no picture. HP shouldnt be allowed to say that theyre is a webcam on this computer if there isnt one but im pretty sure there isnt

I bought a dial-up modem so that I can use my dial-up ip to use my compaq presiario cq56 109 when I am not at a wifi hotspot. But I have not had any success at getting connected. Are there any readily understandable instructions for setting up this laptop when you cannot get connected? Thanks Viva
If you connect dial up modem with ethernet lan make sure you have installed lan or modem driver correctly.
If you connect dial up modem with usb make sure to plugin modem usb cable into usb port then install your modem dial up driver first before connecting to internet.
Set the modem with the right parameter for your internet service provider in your place

Tata: The Compaq Presario CQ56 does not come with an integrated webcam although it shows on some programs that you do. I tried everthing to get it to work, and eventually talked to someone from HP and they told me that it doesn’t have one and that you have to buy it seperately.
i just buy a hp laptop, but i can’t turn on the webcam, please if you now how tell me compaq presario CQ56-109WM
I just want to know if this laptop comes with an intergrated webcam not even the owners manual will tell me if it does or not. all it says is that some models come with this feature but not what ones. Please answer my question. and if it does come with a webcam how in the world do i turn it on?
